Pregnancy Week 8

I think I am actually getting a belly. It's a little weird because I don't feel bigger?:




How far along: 8 weeks, 2 days. (I realized recently that I was off because I'd been counting the months, not the weeks).

Total weight gain/loss: Down two lbs. from a week ago. I've had the flu this week so that could definitely be part of it.

Maternity clothes: Yes! NONE of my jeans fit so I bought my first pair of maternity jeans. And a sports bra. And a velour suit that's not exactly maternity-related but I need it because I've become kinda lazy:)

Stretch marks: None.

Sleep: Same. Sleeping a lot but waking up frequently. Tired during the day.

Best moment last week: Seeing our jelly bean's heartbeat!!!

Symptoms: Achy breasts, more intense nausea, hunger, frequent night urination, sleeeeeepiness.

Food cravings: None. Fruit's sounding better all the time though.

Gender: Hoping for a boy, but would love a little girl too:) Just praying for a healthy baby.

I miss: Waking up not feeling sick to my stomach.

What I am looking forward to: Hitting that twelve week mark so I can stop obsessing:)

Milestones: When we saw that tiny flickering heartbeat on the screen last week, it was simply magical. At each milestone - our positive HPT, our positive beta and subsequent betas, our first ultrasound, our second ultrasound, each passing week - I find myself thinking it is THE best moment of my life, of our lives, ever. I'll probably continue to feel this way. I'm truly enjoying every minute of this miracle!
